Washington Represents in Blue Bear Invitational

Washington Finishes First in Blue Bear Invitational

The Livingstone College men’s cross country team hosted the Blue Bear Cross Country Invitational. The Blue Bears finished second while Antonio Washington finished first place with a time of 28:39.

The Blue Bears had two other runners to finish in the top ten. Crossing the finish line in fifth place, Otis Tisdale recorded a time of 31:46. Jaleel Armstrong’s time of 32:46 gave him a seventh place finish. Darius Brodie finished 15th with a time of 35:51. while Shaquille Braham finished 24th for the Blue Bears with a time of 49:54.

The Blue Bears will now prepare for the CIAA Cross Country Championships on October 24th when they travel to Cary, NC to compete in the CIAA Championship.

Lady Blue Bears Finish Third in Blue Bear Invitational

The Livingstone College women’s cross country team hosted the Blue Bear Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The Lady Blue Bears finished in third place with a team score of 71 points.

The Lady Blue Bears had two runners to place top ten. Anna-Kay Edwards was the first to run in for the Lady Blue Bears. Edwards finished third with a time of 21:18. Tashima Brazil finished ninth with a time of 23:23. Sherri Samson followed behind Brazil with a time of 24:6, garnering an 11th place finish. Quanera Hayes and Tynaya Walker were the last to run in for the Lady Blue Bears. Hayes finished 18th with a time of 25:41, while Walker finished 30th with a time of 36:44.

The Lady Blue Bears will now prepare for the CIAA Cross Country Championships on October 24th when they travel to Cary, NC to compete in the CIAA Championship.
