Three students have been accepted into the Davidson College Research Initiative Summer Program thanks to the assistance of the Student Support Services staff. Raymond Wiggins (junior), Eric Alston (senior), and Alicia Bunn (sophomore) will be participating in a wide range of opportunities for collaborative research and in-depth study between students and faculty. The Davidson Research Initiative (DRI) will push the students to exponentially raise their level of understanding and expertise in a topic of study, expand their depth of knowledge beyond the classroom and enable them to develop critical skills that provide a clear advantage when applying for jobs or graduate school. This program will be held for 10 weeks on Davidson’s campus with a collaborative community of researchers representing the entire academic spectrum of disciplines, including science, mathematics, social science, humanities, and the arts. The DRI is a paid research opportunity and the students will be housed on campus.
