Blunt Named to 2013 All-CIAA Volleyball Team

Livingstone College’s Carrie Blunt (Jr., Syracuse, NY) has been named to the 2013 All-CIAA Volleyball Team as announced by the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) on Tuesday morning.

After leading the Blue Bears to a 15-16 season, Blunt leads the CIAA in kills with 288. Blunt also ranks second in hitting percentage (.309), third in kills per set with 3.03 and fourth in blocks per set with .84.

Blunt played in 29 matches and scored 366.5 points and averaged 3.9 points per set.

Elizabeth City State’s Rosetta Becerra was named Player of the Year while Virginia State’s Diamond Simpson was selected Rookie of the Year, and Virginia State’s Ivana Rich was named Coach of the Year.
