Blue Bear Bowling Finishes Sixth at CIAA Event

Petersburg, VA – The Livingstone College women’s bowling team competed in the second CIAA Divisional Roundup this past weekend at the Petersburg Bowling Lanes. The Lady Blue Bears had a 2-13 finish for fifth place as they competed against the five other CIAA Southern Division contenders.

The Lady Blue Bears found success against the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University on day two of the event and in Baker play on Sunday.

Livingstone was led by Brittany Barber who recorded a 1,290 total pinfall over the course of two days for an average of 143.3. Latesha Kellum followed Barbers’s performance as she recorded a total pinfall of 1,195 (132.7 average).

The Lady Blue Bears return to action on February 7-9 as they travel to Charlotte, NC to compete in the CIAA Cross Divisional Roundup. Livingstone will compete against all schools in the CIAA Northern Division. The Roundup will take place at the AMF Centennial Lanes located at 4501 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC.
